When our son started to encounter health problems we began to study the many verses of Scripture that spoke of physical healing. As believers, we prayed for the healing of our son, and witnessed the many times he was delivered from whatever affliction he was currently suffering. At the same time we were aware of the media reporting of "faith healers" and the associated skepticism of Divine Healing.

Because of these obvious conflicting views about divine healing we began to study the history of the church to see if there were any reports of healing ministries from earlier times. We found there were indeed many reports of divine healing occurring. As we researched the issue of divine healing we became interested in other aspects of the history of the church.

Our research included books and also the vast resource provided by the internet. Listed below are a few of the websites where we found some of the church history.
