Living the "Christ Centered" Life

There are many things in today's society that can so easily distract us from living a "Christ Centered" life.  We are constantly assaulted by images of violence in movies and on TV.  Much of the advertising, in magazines, billboards and on the TV screen has a sexual nature to it.  We also are bombarded by violence in the news with the reporting of murders, assaults, "road rage" and other crimes committed by the public against other people.  Coupled with that is the commonness of coarse and lewd language being spoken all around us even by pre-teenagers.  Observing these things makes it difficult to remember that the United States of America is a "Christian Nation" founded upon the ways outlined in the Bible.

A large number of people in the United States consider themselves to be Christians.  Many of these who consider themselves Christians do so because they live in a Christian nation.  Others believe that because they were raised by Christian parents it automatically makes them Christians, but they have never  experienced an encounter with Jesus.  They may know about Him but they do not know Him, nor have a relationship with Him.  Many also have read very little of the Bible so they have not come into an understanding of what being a Christian is all about.

As I studied the Bible about various areas of living I made notes about what I was learning.  The articles presented here were developed from those notes.  In most cases the ideas put forth are based upon and supported by the King James version of scripture.  It is hoped, as you read these articles, that you will not blindly accept what has been written, but will ask the Holy Spirit to reveal His truth to you.  These articles are not listed in order of importance but rather as they were written.
